Total Area 51ha
Purchased in 2015, 215 Cooper St Epping is a 51-hectare former quarry site approximately 19km north of Melbourne's CBD. This site was purchased in partnership with Malaysian public listed company Batu Kawan Berhad (BKB).
The site has remained vacant for the past 17 years and is one of the last remaining links in the Epping Central Activity Centre.
Through close co-ordination with the City of Whittlesea and other key stakeholders in the area, the partnership plan is to reactivate the site with new life and deliver something great for the local community.
The vision for the site is to create a master-planned mixed-use precinct that integrates with the adjoining medical, retail, residential and commercial zones surrounding the site.
The site is strategically nestled between many of Epping's heavyweights and anchors:
- The Northern Hospital, Epping Plaza Shopping Centre, and future Costco to the East;
- North Point Business Park and Bunnings to the North;
- The new Melbourne Wholesale Food and Vegetable Market to the West due to open at the end of the month;
- Residential interface to the South
