Creative Cheltenham work precinct takes shape

29 April 2022

Construction is now underway at our next-generation work precinct, Belrose.

Located in the heart of the Bayside Business District in Cheltenham, Belrose is comprised of two distinct stages.

Melbourne-based Clarke Nicholas Construction has been appointed as the South stage builder, with Merkon Constructions selected to complete the North stage works. Both builders have been chosen for their high-quality workmanship and capacity to realise projects of significance and scale.

Designed by DKO Architecture, Belrose North will see an existing 1950s red brick factory, with expansive windows and exposed heritage trusses, repurposed into 30 contemporary, light-filled office suites, showroom style warehouses and hi-tech units. Adding vibrancy to the precinct and its local surrounds, the North stage will also feature a boutique café for the local community.

Sympathetic to its surrounds, Belrose South comprises 24 office warehouse spaces crafted by industrial specialists, SDA, with interior design by DKO, which will blend seamlessly with the refurbished building to unite the precinct.

With an emphasis on sustainability, common spaces will be solar powered to help reduce energy consumption, whilst the entire precinct will be eco-conscious with water reduction practices and lush landscapes to help create mindful, eco-friendly workplaces.

Developed in collaboration with Brico, the project has achieved strong sales success with 80 per cent of the entire project already sold off the plan to a range of different businesses, including an ice cream maker, coffee roaster and photographer to name a few.

Riverlee is excited to partner with an amazing team to bring this vibrant new work precinct to life. We look forward to welcoming the Belrose community later this year and early next.

The South stage is scheduled for completion in Q3 2022, with the North stage to be completed shortly afterwards in Q1 2023.
