Riverlee’s tenant engagement commitment

19 June 2024

Creating thriving communities is the enduring focus of everything we do at Riverlee. We believe that fostering connected vertical communities starts with ensuring our tenants feel engaged, by forming genuine relationships within their building community and with us as landlords.

As part of Riverlee’s ongoing commitment to supporting our communities, we host a number of regular tenant events and activations across our commercial, retail and hospitality assets, including at 179 Queen Street, Melbourne, 369 Royal Parade, Parkville and The Hanging Garden Precinct, Hobart.

179 Queen Street is ‘home’ to a diverse community of commercial tenants and legal professionals. Our recent breakfast event aimed to nurture relationships between tenants and our asset management team, giving them a chance to get to know each other over light refreshments and coffee, catered for by our resident café operator, Bailey Espresso.  Our asset management team used the opportunity to reflect on the recent updates to the building, including a newly transformed lobby with a café and lounge, creating a third space for the community to connect and conduct business, alongside the end-of-trip facilities and lift cart upgrades to the building.

At 369 Royal Parade our mix of office and medical professionals recently enjoyed morning tea held within the onsite, bookable conference room, providing the occasion for invaluable networking opportunities for tenants.

Our event within The Hanging Garden Precinct in Hobart united retail and hospitality tenants from across the precinct, offering an important opportunity for them to connect, share experiences, and reflect on why they love being part of this vibrant mixed-use cultural hub. The event also featured an overview of Riverlee’s vision for the development and evolution of the precinct.

Riverlee’s tenant engagement community events are part of a series of ongoing initiatives that are essential in nurturing a sense of community across our portfolio. Providing tenants with a sense of belonging, increasing satisfaction and also providing opportunities to network, leading to business collaborations and partnerships. These activations further demonstrate our authentic, collaborative and people-centric approach to creating visionary urban environments that foster a sense of place and belonging.

Restoring identity: How a 1959 mosaic inspired the rebirth of Max Angus House

At Riverlee, we believe that a building’s identity should reflect more than its owner, it should connect to place, history and community. This philosophy underpins our approach to repositioning and renaming assets, where heritage and cultural significance guide the future of a space.
