As the former manufacturing premises of Kinnear Ropes this property is rich in history and one of Footscray’s iconic buildings. The property’s fortress-like walls stretch for more than 300 metres along Ballarat Road, located in close proximity to Victorian University.

Riverlee embarked on a bold vision to redevelop the Kinnear site into a mixed-use development, incorporating leading edge design and the finest standards in sustainable development practice. Specialised retail and entertainment spaces, community spaces, supermarket, offices, showrooms and a variety of residential uses, including student accommodation and residential towers were included in the development plan.

The site was purchased in 2003 and sold in 2007.
